Terms of Service

By creating an account, or by using BatchPin in any way, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service.

If you are using BatchPin on behalf of a company, agency or client, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for them, and "you" in this document means both you and them.

BatchPin turns a source you own or control — a blog or website, an Etsy shop, a Shopify store, an app store listing, or a single URL — into pins for Pinterest.

In outline: we read the source you point us at, generate a pin image from a template you choose, write a title, description and alt text for it, propose a board and a publish time, and hold the result as a draft.

Nothing is published until you approve it. Generation stops at a draft every time. You review each pin, edit it or delete it, and approve it individually; only then is it scheduled, and only approved pins are ever sent to Pinterest. We do not publish on your behalf without that approval, and there is no setting that turns it off.

We may add, change or withdraw features. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will tell you before it takes effect.

You must be at least 16 years old to use BatchPin. The service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly provide it to anyone below that age. This matches the age floor in our Privacy Policy.

You must also be eligible to hold a Pinterest account under Pinterest's own terms, and any Etsy, Shopify or other account you connect must be one you are entitled to use.

You may not use the service if you are barred from doing so under the laws that apply to you, or if Pinterest has previously terminated your access to their platform.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you register with, for keeping your password secret, and for everything that happens under your account.

• Do not share your login. If other people need access, give them their own.
• Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
• Connecting a Pinterest, Etsy or Shopify account authorises us to act within the scopes you granted. You can withdraw that authorisation at any time, from inside the app or from the other platform's own connected-apps settings.

We store passwords only as hashes and cannot recover them for you. We may suspend an account we reasonably believe has been compromised, and will tell you why.

The point of this section is that BatchPin exists to help you publish your own work to your own audience. Anything that turns it into a distribution machine is prohibited, and we enforce this.

You must not:

• Use the service to send spam, or to publish repetitive, bulk or unsolicited pins — including pinning the same destination over and over to manufacture reach.
• Operate accounts that are not genuinely yours or your client's, run networks of Pinterest accounts, or use the service to evade a restriction Pinterest has placed on an account.
• Scrape Pinterest, or use the service to extract data from Pinterest by any means other than the official API. We do not offer this and will not build it.
• Publish content that is misleading, deceptive, or that misrepresents its source or destination — including cloaked links and destinations that differ from what the pin describes.
• Publish content you do not have the rights to: images, text, trademarks or product photography belonging to someone else.
• Publish content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that Pinterest's Community Guidelines prohibit.
• Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service, or use it to attack anyone else.
• Resell, sublicense or white-label the service without our written agreement.

Breaking any of this is grounds for immediate suspension. Where a breach also breaks Pinterest's rules, we may be required to act on their instruction, and we will.

You own your content. The source material you point us at, the images and text you upload, and the pins generated from them remain yours. We claim no ownership of any of it.

To operate the service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, adapt and transmit your content solely in order to:

• fetch and read the source you asked us to read;
• render pin images and write pin copy from it;
• store the resulting drafts in your account; and
• publish the pins you have approved to the Pinterest account you connected.

That licence exists for those purposes and no others. It is not a licence to use your content in marketing, to show it to other customers, to sell it, or to train models on it — and we do not do any of those things. It ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention periods in our Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you have the rights to the content you give us, and to publish it to Pinterest.

We own the service itself: the application, the templates, the generation pipeline, and our name and branding. Using the service does not transfer any of that to you.

BatchPin works with platforms we do not control — Pinterest, Etsy, Shopify and others. We are an independent product. BatchPin is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or a partner of any of them.

Their rules apply to you as well as ours. In particular, your use of Pinterest through this service remains governed by Pinterest's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Nothing here overrides them, and where they are stricter, they win.

These platforms may change their APIs, their pricing, their rate limits or their rules at any time, and may suspend or restrict your account there for reasons of their own. Any of that can interrupt or end features of this service. We will adapt where we reasonably can, but we cannot promise continued access to a platform that is not ours, and we are not responsible for a decision another platform makes about your account.

Pin titles, descriptions and alt text are produced by AI models, from the source content you supply.

Treat every output as a draft suggestion, not a finished fact. Generated text can be wrong, awkward, off-brand, or inaccurate about your own product. It can also, occasionally, resemble text generated for someone else from similar input.

• You are responsible for reviewing each pin before you approve it. That review step exists precisely for this, and approving a pin is you taking responsibility for what it says.
• We make no guarantee about the accuracy, originality, quality or performance of generated content.
• We do not guarantee that generated content is free of third-party rights, and you should not assume it is where your source material is not your own.
• Our AI providers do not train on your content, and neither do we. This is described in the Privacy Policy.

To the extent that ownership of AI-generated output can be assigned, we assign it to you.

The service is metered in credits. A credit is spent when work is done for you — rendering a pin image, writing a title, a description or alt text, or rewriting copy on a pin you already have. Every plan includes every feature; the plans differ only in how many credits they include each month.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you are.

Starting for free. A new account is opened on the Starter plan and receives that plan's credit allowance at sign-up, without a payment method. You can use the product on those credits before you decide to pay for anything.

How credits behave.

• Credits are granted monthly and are a usage allowance, not stored value. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred or withdrawn.
• Work that fails is refunded automatically. If generation or publishing fails, the credits spent on that pin are returned to your balance without you asking. This is a ledger entry you can see.
• Running out of credits stops new generation. It does not delete anything you already have, and already-approved pins still publish.

Payment. Paid plans are charged in advance, monthly or annually as you choose, and renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.

Refunds. Because a paid period is consumed as credits are used, we do not generally refund part-used periods. We will refund where the law requires it, and we will refund a charge that was our error — if something has gone wrong, write to [email protected] and we will deal with it fairly. Nothing in these terms removes a statutory right you have as a consumer, including any right of withdrawal you may have under the law of your own country.

We may change prices. An existing subscription keeps its price until the end of the period you have paid for, and we will give you at least 30 days' notice before a change applies to your renewal.

You can stop at any time. Cancel from your account settings; your plan then runs to the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew. Deleting your account removes your data on the schedule set out in the Privacy Policy.

Pins already published stay published. They live on your Pinterest profile, they belong to you, and deleting your BatchPin account does not remove them. Delete them on Pinterest if you want them gone.

We can end it too. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms — particularly the acceptable-use section — that is used unlawfully, or where required by Pinterest or by law. Except where the breach is serious or we are legally obliged to act at once, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix it. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part of the period.

We may also withdraw the service entirely. If we do, we will give reasonable notice, stop charging, and refund the unused part of any period paid in advance.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not promise results. Specifically, we make no guarantee, representation or promise about:

• traffic, impressions, saves, clicks, followers, sales or revenue from Pinterest;
• how Pinterest will rank, distribute or display your pins, which is entirely Pinterest's decision;
• continued availability of the Pinterest, Etsy or Shopify APIs, or of any feature that depends on them;
• the accuracy or performance of AI-generated content; or
• uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Nothing on our website or in our marketing should be read as a promise of results. Where anything we publish appears to conflict with this section, this section governs.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill, or loss or corruption of data, however caused.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Where you have paid us nothing, our total liability is limited to $100.

These limits apply regardless of the legal theory the claim is brought under, and they survive termination. They do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and they do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable legal costs arising from:

• content you published through the service, including anything you approved for publishing;
• your breach of these terms, of Pinterest's terms or community guidelines, or of any law; and
• your infringement of someone else's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.

We will tell you promptly about any such claim, will not settle it without your agreement where that agreement is required, and will let you take over its defence at your cost if you wish.

We update these terms as the service changes. The effective and last-updated dates at the top of this page always reflect the current version.

For material changes — anything that reduces your rights, raises your price, or meaningfully narrows what the service does — we will give you notice by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect, which matches the notice period in our Privacy Policy. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, cancel before they take effect and we will refund the unused part of any period paid in advance.

Minor changes — corrections, clarifications, new sections describing new features — take effect when published.

These terms are governed by the law of Morocco, and the courts of Morocco have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may be entitled to bring proceedings in your own local courts.

Before starting formal proceedings, please write to [email protected] and set out the problem. Most disagreements are cheaper and faster to resolve that way, and we will engage with it properly.

If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest continues in force.
